Basketball Recap: North Vermillion Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

If South Vermillion wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played North Vermillion, they should've done a better job of containing Nora Thomann. The North Vermillion Falcons took their match on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 58-28 victory over the South Vermillion Wildcats thanks in part to Thomann, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Reagan Bean was another key player, going 6 of 11 en route to 13 points. Those 13 points gave her a new career-high.

North Vermillion has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for South Vermillion, they are on a 45-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-21.

North Vermillion won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Covington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Vermillion, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the South Vermillion Wildcats duke it out with the Riverton Parke Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
