Softball Recap: Bradford Takes a Loss

Bradford had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it seven. They lost 10-0 to the Brockway Rovers. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Owls were not able to get on the board.

As for Brockway, their record is now 7-1. Considering they have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Brockway's part, they got a great performance from Bailee Carberry as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ella Reitz, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Elysabeth Myers was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Bradford will challenge Coudersport at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brockway, they will square off against Kane at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
