Recap: Randolph Ro-Hawks vs. Cole Cougars
It was a good run, but the Randolph Ro-Hawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 37-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cole. While losing is never fun, Randolph can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 806th, while Cole is ranked 375th).
Cole got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamyra Childs out in front who scored ten points along with two steals. Childs is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kendall Gonzales, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Cole, they pushed their record up to 24-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Randolph will take on Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cole, they will head out on the road to take on Great Hearts Northern Oaks at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Great Hearts Northern Oaks is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
