Baseball Recap: Chatham Takes a Loss

After flying high against George Washington last Friday, Chatham came back down to earth. The Cavaliers came up short against the Nelson County Governors on Tuesday, falling 10-1. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Governors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Chatham dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Nelson County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chatham will venture away from home to square off against Tunstall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Nelson County, they will head out to challenge William Campbell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
