Centauri is a perfect 5-0 against Gunnison since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Centauri beats Gunnison with 56 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Falcons came out on top against Colorado Springs Christian by a score of 56-47 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gunnison). They pulled ahead with a 50-49 photo finish over Grand Valley on Saturday. The game was the first time the Cowboys have beaten the Cardinals on their court since March 6, 2021.

Gunnison's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Centauri, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Centauri against Gunnison in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 64-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
