Baseball Recap: Windsor Find Success

While Windsor put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Poudre. The Wizards came out on top in a nail-biter against the Impalas, sneaking past 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Wizards in their matchups with the Impalas: they've now won four in a row.

Poudre's batters probably weren't too happy with Asieli Rigby, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 15 Ks (he gave up a single walk). Rigby has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Windsor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Beets, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base. Those three hits gave Beets a new career-high.

Windsor's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Poudre, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Windsor didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-12 loss against Fossil Ridge on the 5th. As for Poudre, they have also already played their next game, an 18-3 win against Northridge on the 1st.
