Maryville Christian entered their tilt with Steeleville on Saturday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Warriors.

Maryville Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-20, 25-19.

Brooklynn Thien had an outrageously good game as she had 28 digs. Those 28 digs gave her a new career-high.

Maryville Christian's win bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Steeleville, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-12.
