Everything went their way against the Wagner Thunderbirds on Tuesday as they made off with a 21-8 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mules needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Davis Zunker looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.
On the hitting side, Luke Spielhagen was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Alamo Heights' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 6-16-1 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Duffin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
