Basketball Recap: Carney Takes a Loss

Carney lost against Paden back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Carney Bulldogs were outmatched by the Paden Pirates and fell 64-4. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while the Pirates are ranked 131st).

Carney has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Paden, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Carney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-29 win against Oilton on the 25th. Paden has also already played their next matchup, a 65-33 defeat against Union City on the 24th.
