Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Christian). They rang in the new year with a 60-51 victory over the St. John Tigers on Friday. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 57-34 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the defeat, St. John saw an underclassman step up: freshman Emmett Delp posted 20 points. Braxton Alpers was another key player, putting up eight points.
