            Football Recap: Gainesville Hurricanes vs. Forest Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Gainesville was the  33-15 winner over Forest when they last played one another  back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hurricanes took  a  24-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Friday. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  KEIHONEST PERRY and  JAI-SHAWN SANFORD certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss.  PERRY rushed for 122 yards and one  TD on only 14 carries, while  SANFORD rushed for 39 yards.
 It was another big night for  Keziyrehun Rivers, who rushed for 179 yards and one  score for Forest.
Gainesville now  has a losing record of 2-3. As for Forest,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-1.
 Gainesville will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Buchholz at 7:30  p.m.  on  the 3rd. The Bobcats' defense has only allowed 14.6  points per game  this season, so the Hurricanes' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Forest, they have already played their next game,  a  30-25  defeat against South Lake on the 26th.
