Baseball Recap: Scarborough Comes Up Short

Scarborough had lost five straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-9 to make it six. They came up short against the North Forest Bulldogs, falling 9-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Spartans haven't been shut out since back in March.

As for North Forest, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

For North Forest's part, Jaden Garcia was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs. The Bulldogs are 7-0-1 when Garcia posts two or more runs, but 1-6 otherwise.

While Scarborough had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
