Hart posted their closest win since February 25th on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Valencia Vikings 15-14.

Hart got a massive performance out of Josh Whitson, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave Whitson a new career-high. Matix Frithsmith was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hart kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 12.8.

Hart's win bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Valencia, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hart will challenge Ventura at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Valencia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Saugus at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
