Volleyball Recap: Fernley Continues Home Dominance on Friday + How To Watch

Fernley had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Dayton on Friday. The Vaqueros blew past the Dust Devils 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Vaqueros, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Fernley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-23, 25-18.

Trista Menesini paced Fernley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Menesini got some help from Alauna Escartin and her 16 assists. Menesini was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Fernley's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. As for Dayton, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 14-7 record.
