Saint Francis entered their tilt with Archbishop Mitty on Wednesday with 13 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 14. They came out on top against the Monarchs by a score of 7-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in April.

Hailey Nguyen looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maya Yumiba, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. Hayden Hummel was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Saint Francis pushed their record up to 24-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Archbishop Mitty, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saint Francis will face off against Valley Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
