Soccer Game Preview: Uvalde vs. Pleasanton

The Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) will venture away from home to face off against the Pleasanton Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Uvalde came up short against Floresville on Tuesday, falling 5-1. The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Lino Rodriguez, who's now up to ten this season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Pleasanton's offense. They lost 6-0 to Floresville on Friday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Tigers/Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

This is the second loss in a row for Uvalde and nudges their season record down to 5-6. As for Pleasanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Uvalde skirted past Pleasanton 4-3 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Uvalde since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
