Basketball Recap: Barnesville Takes a Loss

Barnesville lost against Union Local back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Barnesville Shamrocks took a hard 71-53 fall against the Union Local Jets. While losing is never fun, the Shamrocks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 570th, while the Jets are ranked 252nd).

Barnesville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Union Local, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Barnesville and Monroe Central will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Union Local has already played their next match (against Buckeye Trail), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
