Volleyball Recap: Reed Comes Up Short

If Reed was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North Valleys on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders came up short against the Reno Huskies on Thursday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Reed ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 25-20.

Reed's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Reno, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reed will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hug at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Reno, after both having extra time off, they and North Valleys will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Huskies are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
