Volleyball Recap: Stockton Blackhawks vs. Dakota Indians

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Stockton had no problem doing just that on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Dakota Indians. The Blackhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

The victory didn't come easy: Dakota scored at least 16 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13.

Taylor Haas paced Stockton's offense, picking up ten kills. Haas got some help from Kacy Wright and her 12 assists. Finally, Emma Eisfeller kept Stockton's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

The win (which was Stockton's tenth in a row) raised their record to 32-2. As for Dakota, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-23-2 record this season.

Stockton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Pecatonica on the 30th. Dakota does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
