Soccer Recap: Notre Dame-Green Pond Takes a Loss

If Notre Dame-Green Pond was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Salisbury Township on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders came up short against the Blue Mountain Eagles on Thursday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Notre Dame-Green Pond can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Blue Mountain are ranked 82nd).

Notre Dame-Green Pond's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4. As for Blue Mountain, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame-Green Pond will face off against Palisades at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Blue Mountain, they will square off against Tamaqua at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
