Softball Recap: Lancaster Has No Trouble Against Hopewell

Lancaster got themselves on the board against Hopewell on Friday, but Hopewell never followed suit. They blew past the Blue Devils 15-0. Considering the Red Devils have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Elizabeth Keyser was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Kynleigh Wilson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Lancaster now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Hopewell, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lancaster will welcome Colonial Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Devils are facing the Drifters at the right time seeing as the Drifters are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Hopewell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Springers have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
