Softball Recap: Brownstown Central Has No Trouble Against Milan

While Brownstown Central put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Milan. The Braves put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 10-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Braves considering their one-run performance the match before.

Avery Wilson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Kinzee Dean was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in June of 2024. Jaylee Yeadon was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Brownstown Central lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Brownstown Central's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Milan, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 19-9 record.

Coming up, Brownstown Central will look to defend their home field on Monday against Paoli at 5:30 p.m. As for Milan, they will face off against Trinity Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
