Volleyball Recap: Frontenac's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Baxter Springs came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Frontenac, but Laynee Shay wouldn't allow it. The Raiders won by a set and slipped past the Lions 2-1 with plenty of help from Shay, who had 14 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Frontenac had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-21, 25-18.

Frontenac moved to 21-14-1 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for Baxter Springs, they dropped their record down to 24-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Frontenac has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Columbus on the 14th. Baxter Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
