Softball Recap: Palmyra Comes Up Short

Palmyra lost against Gettysburg back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars fell 6-3 to the Warriors.

Layla Musser was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Mia Morrison was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Palmyra's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Gettysburg, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Palmyra will venture away from home to challenge Red Land at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gettysburg, they will host Spring Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
