Baseball Game Preview: Arlington Eagles vs. Interlake Saints

The Arlington Eagles will square off against the Interlake Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Arlington has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Interlake will arrive with three straight wins.

Arlington fell victim to Snohomish and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Interlake sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over Highline on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Saints have posted against the Pirates since March 26, 2022.

The team relied heavily on Sam Haufe, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Interlake is 2-1 when Haufe posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Zach Diaz was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Arlington's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Interlake, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-5.
