St. John Paul II strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Monomoy Sharks. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Xavien Suero made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Suero was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Logan Our was a standout: he scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Brandon Gomes was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

St. John Paul II was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

St. John Paul II's record now sits at 5-0. As for Monomoy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1-1.
