Recap: Childress Bobcats vs. Panhandle Panthers
The Childress Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 59-34 defeat at the hands of Panhandle. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Childress in their matchups with Panhandle: they've now lost five in a row.
Childress' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Neeley Oldham, who scored 6 points. Another player making a difference was Emma Jalomo, who scored 3 points along with 6 steals.
Childress has fallen quite a ways from their 21-6 record last season and are now at 1-4. As for Panhandle, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Childress will take on Graham at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Panhandle will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on City View at 4:00 p.m. on December 9th.
