Baseball Recap: Branham Comes Up Short

Branham was the 7-4 winner over Leigh when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bruins fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday.

Branham saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Field, who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Branham has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Leigh, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Branham beat the Longhorns by a score of 6-5 on Friday.
