Football Recap: Jonathan Logan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Summit Christian Academy over Porter

If Summit Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 30-10 takedown of Afton last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles lost 43-20 to the Porter Pirates on Friday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonathan Logan, who rushed for 17 yards and one score, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.

Summit Christian Academy's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Porter, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Coming up, Summit Christian Academy will host Barnsdall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Porter, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ketchum at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
