Football Recap: Summit Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Afton last Friday, Summit Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Porter Pirates on Friday, falling 43-20. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Summit Christian Academy dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Porter, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Summit Christian Academy will host Barnsdall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Porter, they will venture away from home to square off against Ketchum at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
