Cross has no trouble against Charleston Math & Science

The Cross Trojans can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Charleston Math & Science with a sharp 61-38 victory. Given Cross' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Charleston Math & Science is ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Charleston Math & Science lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dalailyn Reed. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. Peyton Webb was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

The victory was the third in a row for Cross, bringing their record for this year to 10-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Charleston Math & Science, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-13.

Cross will be playing at home against St. John's at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Charleston Math & Science, they will head out on the road to face off against Baptist Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
