Two dominant backs in Ethan Crandall and Xander Edwards are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Pensacola Catholic Crusaders will face off against the Bolles Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Pensacola Catholic sitting on ten straight wins and Bolles on nine.
Pensacola Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They really took it to South Walton for the full four quarters, racking up a 34-7 victory. Considering the Crusaders have won six contests by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
The critical scores for Pensacola Catholic came from Caden Jasso, Jayden Coleman, Donnelle Gulley, Jaylin Brown, and Caleb Willoughby.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pensacola Catholic's defense and their 7.5 sacks. Leading the way was Tripp Dalton with 4.5. He has been hot, having posted at least one sack the last five times he's played. Coleman got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Bolles got the win against Florida State University High School on Friday by a conclusive 51-27. The Bulldogs are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the tenth matchup they've won by 20+ points this season.
Bolles' win came from a few key players Pensacola Catholic will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaden Weatherly, who threw for 244 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September. Camden Tietze was another key player, picking up 155 receiving yards and one score.
Bolles was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 238 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in five consecutive games.
Bolles didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Santana Starks and Asher Ghioto. With that strong performance, Starks is now averaging an impressive 5.2 total tackles per game. James Gibbs was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Pensacola Catholic's record now sits at 11-1. As for Bolles, their record is now an identical 11-1.
