Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Panthers vs. Douglas County Tigers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chapel Hill). They were the clear victor by a 15-2 margin over the Douglas County Tigers on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Panthers with their most commanding win of the season.
Grace Glowacki made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in August. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Jayda Young and Taryn Stewart did most of the damage at the plate: Young scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Stewart went 3-for-3 with two triples, two RBI, and two RBI. What's more, Stewart also racked up three hits, the mostshe's had since back in August of 2023. Mariah Walker was another key player, scoring four runs while going 3-for-3.
