Softball Recap: Stony Point Tigers vs. Dripping Springs Tigers
Stony Point extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 19-9-1 in the process. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dripping Springs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Dripping Springs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Thursday.
As for Dripping Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games.
For Dripping Springs' part, not much got past Tatum Green, who gave up just five hits to keep Stony Point off the board. Green has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Dripping Springs let Jai-Lynn Flores and Sadie Bradford run wild.
