Volleyball Recap: Henry Clay Picks Up 14th Straight Win at Home

Henry Clay had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Powell County Pirates as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Henry Clay was: they took every set by at least 18 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-5, 25-7.

Among those leading the charge was Cooper Pugh, who had four digs and four aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in March.

Pugh wasn't the only good server: Henry Clay was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive games.

Henry Clay's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-7. As for Powell County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
