Basketball Recap: Desert Ridge Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Desert Ridge Jaguars were beaten by the Higley Knights 71-36. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Desert Ridge's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9. As for Higley, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Ridge will venture away from home to challenge Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Highland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Desert Ridge likes a good challenge. As for Higley, they will take on Corona del Sol at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Higley is facing Corona del Sol at the right time seeing as Corona del Sol is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
