Volleyball Recap: Lilliana Vanasse's Big Game Can't Quite Lead James Irwin over La Junta + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when James Irwin took on La Junta on Thursday. The Jaguars lost 3-0 to the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Jaguars have suffered against the Tigers since October 19, 2019.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21, 25-16.

James Irwin lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lilliana Vanasse, who had 18 digs and one assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Trujillo, who had 11 digs and one assist.

James Irwin has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for La Junta, they pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
