Basketball Recap: Ripley Comes Up Short

Ripley lost against Westview back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ripley Tigers had to suffer through a 59-20 loss at the hands of the Westview Chargers. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-11.

Westview had a senior duo take command as Maddie Gray posted 14 points and Mccall Sims earned 13 points. Another player making a difference was Ashlee Brent, who put up eight points.

Ripley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Westview, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-1.

Ripley has already played their next matchup (against Peabody), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westview has already played their next contest, a 77-27 win against Milan on the 31st.
