Baseball Recap: Blue Valley Takes a Loss

If Blue Valley was riding high fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Republic County on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Blue Valley fell 12-8 to Republic County on Tuesday. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Buffaloes earlier this season, when they won 17-0.

Blue Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Koy Williams, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Blue Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Republic County, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blue Valley will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Doniphan West at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Republic County, they will welcome Concordia at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
