Softball Recap: Rainier Beach Comes Up Short at Home Against Franklin

Rainier Beach unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 30-0 to the Franklin Quakers on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 13 in a row.

Franklin moved to 1-1 with that win, which also ended their 13-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rainier Beach will face off against Chief Sealth at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chief Sealth has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something Rainier Beach will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Franklin, they will square off against Cleveland at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
