Coolidge proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 13) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Globe Tigers. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

The team relied heavily on Ruben Baca, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Coolidge's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Globe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Coolidge and Globe will both be playing Florence the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Gophers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bears will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
