Recap: Lazbuddie Longhorns vs. Kress Kangaroos

This season hasn't been kind to the Lazbuddie Longhorns, who are still winless after their seventh match. They were beaten by Kress 65-31 on Tuesday. Lazbuddie lost against Kress in their previous head to head back in November of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 40-29 score last time.

Kress' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drew Morphis led the charge by scoring 22 points along with five rebounds. Morphis continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Landon Gilles was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with nine rebounds.

Lazbuddie's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.3 points per game. As for Kress, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-11.

Lazbuddie will face off against Hart at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kress, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nazareth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Nazareth is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
