While Crooksville's victory against Maysville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Ceramics had just enough and edged out the Panthers 3-2 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Ceramics as it spelled an end to their ten-match losing streak.

Crooksville wouldn't go down easily and took Maysville into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 24-26, 25-22, 15-6.

Emma Powell paced Crooksville's offense, picking up 14 kills. Powell got some help from Erica Flood and her 16 assists. Flood was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Crooksville's victory bumped their record up to 3-17. As for Maysville, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Crooksville has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Meadowbrook on the 7th. As for Maysville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Zanesville on the 6th.
