Yreka can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Anderson Cubs a 14-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what Yreka needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.
Alexes Collier and Kaelynn DeBortoli made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Collier tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, DeBortoli tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Collier scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while DeBortoli scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Yreka got a big performance out of Bella Patino, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
