Softball Recap: McHenry Takes a Loss

If McHenry was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Marian Central Catholic on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. McHenry fell just short of the Lakes Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

McHenry saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jocelyn Roeder, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

McHenry's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McHenry will challenge Marengo at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lakes, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Harvard at 4:30 p.m. on April 2.
