Basketball Recap: Exeter Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Exeter put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 66-55 win over the Orcutt Academy Spartans.

Exeter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jake Iversen led the charge by shooting 56% from the field en route to 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. With that strong performance, Iversen is now averaging an impressive 16.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Plyman, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards.

Exeter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Exeter's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Orcutt Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
