Preview: Christ Covenant Spartan vs. Faith Christian Academy Conquerors
Christ Covenant is 5-0 against Faith Christian Academy since November of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Christ Covenant Spartan will be playing in front of their home fans against the Faith Christian Academy Conquerors at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Christ Covenant can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They put the hurt on Jacksonville Christian Academy with a sharp 60-37 win. The score was close at the half, but Christ Covenant pulled away in the second half with 41 points.
Faith Christian Academy posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 45-15 win over New Bern Christian Academy. 45 seems to be a good number for Faith Christian Academy as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Dani Dawson was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Faith Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Bailey Voeller, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Christ Covenant pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19.67 points. As for Faith Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Everything went Christ Covenant's way against Faith Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as Christ Covenant made off with a 54-34 victory.
