Basketball Recap: Independence Victorious

Independence's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They managed a 70-66 win over the Youngker Roughriders. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their 27-point performance the match before.

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Youngker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Independence will take on Kellis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Kellis' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Youngker, they will welcome Canyon View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon View will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Youngker surely won't give up without a fight.
