Baseball Recap: Therrell Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Therrell barely beat Carver the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Therrell never let Carver get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for Therrell, who have now won four matchups by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Therrell got a big performance out of Chase Gray, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Gray has become a key player for Therrell: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Camryn Corbin also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Therrell is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. Carver's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Therrell will have a chance to go back-to-back against Carver: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
