After each having a week off, the Terrell Tigers and the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Terrell will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Kaufman, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tigers took their contest last Friday with ease, bagging a 56-14 win over the Lions. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Terrell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JULIAN ASHLEY, who rushed for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries. RODERICK HAMBRICK JR. was in the mix as well, providing the Tigers with two TDs.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Midlothian Heritage duked it out with Ennis last Friday. The Jaguars breezed past the Lions to the tune of 56-21. The Jaguars have beaten the Lions the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lions has come to flipping the script.
Terrell better keep an eye on Dax Montelongo. He was instrumental in Midlothian Heritage's win, rushing for 214 yards and five scores on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 184 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Montelongo really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run. Another player making a difference was Za'Ko Davis, who gained 123 total yards and two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Midlothian Heritage was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 266 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
One reason for the win was Midlothian Heritage's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Zion Johnson was especially locked on to Ennis' QB and sacked him twice.
Terrell's record now sits at 5-0. As for Midlothian Heritage, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Thursday's game might be decided on the ground. Terrell has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 248.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Midlothian Heritage struggles in that department as they've been averaging 182.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Terrell couldn't quite get it done against Midlothian Heritage in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 21-14. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
